Marcia Haufrecht was fortunate to have been born, bred, and buttered in Manhattan, NYC. She graduated Performing Arts High School as a dancer and proceeded to perform on Broadway and touring Broadway shows in the U.S.
She is an actress and director, known for Win Win (2011), The Producers (2005) and Dog Day Afternoon (1975).

She came to painting late in life. At the age of 70, while teaching master acting classes at The New School University, she decided to take classes herself, enrolled in an oil painting class, and fell in love with paint and all things visual. In 2018 Marcia wrote and directed a short film (35 min.), "Full Moon and High Tide in the Ladies Room", which screened in festivals and garnered a few awards in the U.S. and Europe. Her current short film "3 Muses", is screening in festivals around the world. Her 3rd short "Family" is in the editing process.
